The offering was first announced on May 29, 2012 when Emera entered into an agreement with a syndicate of underwriters in Canada led by Scotiabank, RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities Inc.<\/p>\n<p>The net proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>EMA.PR.C is a FixedReset, 4.10%+265, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prefblog.com\/?p=18744\">announced May 29<\/a>.
