And, of course, I logged onto www.bce.com first, rather than www.bce.ca<\/p>\n<p>The former site now features a placeholder page supplied by the auctioneer (it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prefblog.com\/?p=1942\">sold last month for USD 28,001<\/a>), so I did <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whois.net\/whois_new.cgi?d=bce&#038;tld=com\">a WHOIS search<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Registrant:<br \/>\n Yusuf Okhai<br \/>\n Dunsinane Industrial Estate<br \/>\n Dundee, Tayside DD2 3QF<br \/>\n GB<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mr. Okhai is apparently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sedo.com\/search\/details.php4?domain=bce.com&#038;partnerid=14460&#038;language=e\">trying to sell the domain<\/a>; it is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sitetiki.com\/Bce.com\">claimed<\/a> that &#8220;BCE&#8221; stands for &#8220;Better College Education&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>I was convinced that the price of USD 28,001 meant that BCE (the company) had bought the site &#8230; wrong again!
