{"id":3608,"date":"2008-10-25T14:07:22","date_gmt":"2008-10-25T18:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.prefblog.com\/?p=3608"},"modified":"2008-10-25T14:07:22","modified_gmt":"2008-10-25T18:07:22","slug":"figpra-fcspra-capital-unit-distributions-halted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=3608","title":{"rendered":"FIG.PR.A &amp; FCS.PR.A &#8211; Capital Unit Distributions Halted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Faircourt Asset Management <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faircourtassetmgt.com\/Assets\/pdf\/October_FIG_and_FCS_Distributions_press_release_October_10.pdf\">has announced<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>that in accordance with the terms of Trust Indentures governing the Preferred Securities and the maintenance of a minimum 1.4 times asset coverage to be maintained by the Trusts, dated November 17, 2004 for Faircourt Income &#038; Growth Split Trust and March 16, 2006 for Faircourt Split Trust, monthly distributions on the Trust Units (TSX: FIG.UN, FCS.UN) will be suspended until further notice, in order to protect the Trusts\u2019 Net Asset Value and to preserve the Trusts\u2019 ability to rebuild and meet their respective investment objectives in the long term.<\/p>\n<p>This announcement does not affect the quarterly distributions related to the Preferred Securities of either Trust (TSX: FIG.PR.A, FCS.PR.A).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The potential for a buy-back or partial redemption of FIG.PR.A has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prefblog.com\/?p=3605\">discussed on PrefBlog<\/a>; it is currently a member of the HIMIPref&trade; InterestBearing subindex.
