{"id":45797,"date":"2023-09-27T10:06:52","date_gmt":"2023-09-27T15:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=45797"},"modified":"2023-09-27T10:06:52","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T15:06:52","slug":"ytc_resets-xlxs-slight-modification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=45797","title":{"rendered":"ytc_resets.xlsx : Slight Modification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have recently been discussing the question of yield and forecast income from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.himivest.com\/malachite\/MAPFMain.php\">Malachite Aggressive Preferred Fund<\/a> with a client, and as part of that referred him to the <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=6693\">Yield Calculator for Resets<\/a> so he could see for himself why the projected income from the fund was <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=45683\">so much higher<\/a> than the current income.<\/p>\n<p>As part of that, I had to explain that HIMIPref\u2122, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prefshares.com\">my analytical software<\/a>, uses semi-annual compounded yield, which is a higher number than the quarterly compounded yield calculated by the spreadsheet. And my income projections use HIMIPref\u2122 calculations.
