{"id":48720,"date":"2017-09-18T22:05:00","date_gmt":"2017-09-19T02:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=48720"},"modified":"2025-07-24T22:07:01","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T02:07:01","slug":"ta-pr-h-no-conversion-to-floatingreset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=48720","title":{"rendered":"TA.PR.H : No Conversion to FloatingReset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TransAlta Corporation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.transalta.com\/newsroom\/news-releases\/transalta-announces-conversion-results-for-series-e-preferred-shares\/\">has announced<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>that after taking into account all election notices received by the September 15, 2017 deadline for the conversion of the Cumulative Redeemable Rate Reset Preferred Shares, Series E (the \u201cSeries E Shares\u201d) into Cumulative Redeemable Floating Rate Preferred Shares, Series F (the \u201cSeries F Shares\u201d), there were 133,969 Series E Shares tendered for conversion, which is less than the one million shares required to give effect to conversions into Series F Shares. As a result, none of the Series E Shares will be converted into Series F Shares on September 30, 2017.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It will be recalled that <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=35384\">TA.PR.H will reset at 5.194%<\/a> and that <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=35432\">I recommended against conversion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of all this TA.PR.H is now a FixedReset, 5.194%+365, that <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=19471\">commenced trading 2012-8-10 with a 5.00% coupon<\/a> after being <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prefblog.com\/?p=19386\">announced 2012-8-2<\/a>.
