{"id":50714,"date":"2019-09-24T19:54:00","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T23:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=50714"},"modified":"2025-11-17T19:56:41","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T00:56:41","slug":"ala-pr-g-some-conversion-to-floatingreset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=50714","title":{"rendered":"ALA.PR.G : Some Conversion To FloatingReset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An eMailed inquiry to AltaGas Ltd. regarding the recently expired conversion option for ALA.PR.G resulted in the following reply (in part):<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We will announce the full details of the election on September 30th, but at this time we can confirm that there were enough Series G shares tendered for conversion into floating rate Series H shares and therefore Series H shares will be issued on September 30th.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>ALA.PR.G is a FixedReset, 4.75%+306, that <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=25723\">commenced trading 2014-7-3<\/a> after being  <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=25637\">announced 2014-6-23<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=39347\">Notice of extension<\/a> was announced 2019-8-29. The issue <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=39386\">will reset at 4.242%<\/a> effective September 30, 2019. I <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=39420\">recommended against conversion<\/a>. The issue is tracked by HIMIPref&trade; but relegated to the Scraps subindex on credit concerns. In December, 2018, the issue was <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=37807\">downgraded to Pfd-3(low) by DBRS<\/a> and to <a href=\"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=37790\">P-3 by S&#038;P<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Well!
