{"id":735,"date":"2007-04-04T13:27:55","date_gmt":"2007-04-04T17:27:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.prefblog.com\/?p=735"},"modified":"2007-04-04T13:27:55","modified_gmt":"2007-04-04T17:27:55","slug":"ftnpra-special-resolution-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prefblog.com\/?p=735","title":{"rendered":"FTN.PR.A Special Resolution Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prefblog.com\/?p=679\">previously noted<\/a>, FTN.PR.A shareholders will be meeting April 24 to vote on extending term.<\/p>\n<p>The text of the actual resolution <a href=\"http:\/\/www.financial15.com\/pdf\/FTN\/FTN-InfoCirc-April2007.pdf\">has been released<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>BE IT RESOLVED AS A SPECIAL RESOLUTION THAT:<br \/>\n1. The Articles of Financial 15 Split Corp. (the \u201cFund\u201d) be amended to extend the termination date of the Fund to December 1, 2014.<br \/>\n2. The directors and officers of the Fund be and they are hereby authorized and directed to take such action and to execute and deliver all such documentation as may be necessary or desirable for the implementation of this special resolution.<br \/>\n3. Notwithstanding the provisions hereof, the directors of the Fund may revoke this special resolution at any time prior to the endorsement by the Director of the Certificate of Amendment under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario) giving effect hereto without further approval of the shareholders of the Fund.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If passed, this is free money for the Preferred shareholders, given that the prefs\u00a0yield 5.25% of their redemption value.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As previously noted, FTN.PR.A shareholders will be meeting April 24 to vote on extending term.
