I previously reported a problem with my website eMails.
This difficulty has now been resolved and everything is now back to normal.

Just when I thought the end of the nightmare was close, I find I have another eMail server problem, with junk eMails apparently being sent from my main address, jiHymas@himivest.com.

The mailServer programme on my “websites” machine has now been turned off until I figure out what is going on.

I have sent an urgent message to my website administrator; until further notice, please use my backup eMail address, jiHymas@himipref.com, which is hosted on another server.

Update, 2025-06-30: This issue has been resolved. I hope.

I am greatly relieved to announce that my eMail problem has been resolved and things are back to normal.

Correspondents may resume using my regular eMail address, jiHymas@himivest.com

My usual eMail address, jiHymas@himivest.com, has temporarily gone down. I am in the process of getting it fixed.

I have ten nine eight seven six five pairs of Toronto Rock Lacrosse tickets to give away! Congratulations to Assiduous Reader BLANK, who won the tickets to the Feb. 15 game against the San Diego Seals!

In early March I will declare the lucky winner of the March 16 tickets to see Rock play Rochester. Get your requests in early!

The games take place at the Air Canada Centre Scotiabank Arena and the seats are very good. Just tell me which ones you would like and feel free to enter multiple times. A decision regarding who gets tickets will be made two weeks before each game and I will mail them to the lucky winner; while preference will be given to customers and those who tell me they’ve got a kid who plays lacrosse, anybody can win. If you win and don’t want your name publicized, that’s fine.

The games are a lot of fun. One thing that has impressed me is that these guys’ technical skills are so good they can concentrate on strategy … there are a lot fewer loose balls than I remember from my days of box lacrosse at age 10!

The play-off game? There’s no guarantee that there will be one, but you could always try your luck and ask for them.

I have just learned that my land-line, (416) 604-4204, has been telling many callers that the ‘phone has been disconnected and worse, it has been doing so for about two weeks. As the ‘phone has retained its dial tone and ability to make out-going calls through this period, I had no reason to suspect a problem.

Bell Canada advises that the fault is on their premises and a technician will be fixing the problem during the afternoon on November 29. Until then, if you need to contact me, please send me an eMail with your number and I will call you.

Update 2018-11-29: Bell did nothing today. Maybe tomorrow.
